Project work involves New Main Exchange Shopping Center complex, retail store, food court, service mall, outdoor garden sales area, shipping and receiving areas, and all related site work. Size of facility is 168,560 square foot new construction and 85,000 square foot renovation. Major renovation and new installation of mechanical work consists of gas fired roof top heating and cooling units, food court plumbing and piping, kitchen equipment, and substantial amounts of roof drain piping.

MADISON MIDDLE SCHOOL PHASE II |

This project involves 135,000 square foot facility major remodel and addition of a project considered an historic site. The building is gutted to accommodate new facilities. The mechanical portion of the remodel and addition utilize a ground source hydronic loop system. The condenser water loop serving the water source heat pumps is heated or cooled through an array of wells placed below the athletic field and pumped from the mechanical room. Primary mechanical equipment is controlled and staged by a new Direct Digital Control system interfaced with proprietary control panels. The primary heating and cooling source for each classroom and office is provided by individual water source heat pumps, controlled by stand-alone controls involving numerous configurations relating to the return and exhaust air path and related fans for each fan coil unit system.. In areas where cooling is not required, the areas are served by packaged gas fired furnaces. Remodel of kitchen, laboratories, and new bathrooms; including balance, start-up, commissioning.

Construct and/or modernize approximately 213,000 square feet of new and existing school buildings on the site. The addition will be of one building abutting two existing structures. Modernization work will occur throughout the existing school. Project includes a new performing arts center requiring major acoustic system designs. Accessibility, seismic concerns and life safety issues will occur in all buildings. Major renovation and addition of mechanical system consists of: new control system for new and existing buildings with a cooling system; replacing mechanical hydronic system and HVAC system in existing building; balance, start-up and commissioning. Building will be occupied during majority of construction work.

Project consists of 67,000 square foot new facility. Two story school building heated, cooled and ventilated predominately by 36 four-pipe fan coil units controlled by Energy Management and Control System. There are numerous configurations relating to the return and exhaust air paths and related fans for each fan coil unit system. A make up air unit serves the kitchen, and an air-handling unit outfitted with gas heat and DX cooling serves the childcare area. Three tank-type domestic hot water systems serve the childcare area, the kitchen, and the bathrooms. Project includes balance, start-up and commissioning.

Project work involves Construction of a new combination theater and conference center approximately 33,000 square feet of floor area and is comprised of the following: a) 700 seat theater with main floor and upper balcony level; b) stage with fly tower and orchestra pit; c) combination conference and theater lobby space; d) back-of-house support spaces. The work includes a concrete, CMU, and structural steel framing structural system. Plumbing Today, Inc. is completing the plumbing and heating systems. New bathroom and toilet accessories provided. Building is heated by a hydronic boiler with fin tubes and VAV boxes. Domestic HW Boiler for the domestic hot water. Underground propane tank and piping is provided for the emergency generator. Kitchen plumbing includes dishwasher and triple compartment sink. Humidifier and piping provided the piano room.

This project involved the complete mechanical remodel of a 1928 and 1948 building joining the hydronic heating system powered by steam into a 1998 building addition. The building was gutted to meet new code requirements including seismic upgrades. The project involved construction of 186,000 square feet of which 128,000 square feet were major remodel of four existing structures originally built in different eras at different elevations. Large mechanical equipment had to be installed and hoisted into existing structures. Hydronic heating system consisted of two boilers, air handling units, and baseboards. HVAC system connected to air handling units. New control systems were installed including balance, start-up and commissioning.
